The first look of one of the most awaited films of Bollywood, ‘Ramayana’, has finally come out. The first glimpse has created a stir on social media. Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Rama in this epic film, who is seen climbing a tree in a dense forest and stringing a bow in the first look. At the same time, South superstar Yash has been seen in his very powerful and dangerous avatar as Ravana.
Ranbir Kapoor: A new look as Ram
This look of Ranbir Kapoor is very impressive. In the guise of a brahmachari, tilak on the forehead, simple clothes on the body, and a bow in his hand, Ranbir has presented the gentle but warrior form of Lord Rama very impressively. The special thing about the look is that he is seen aiming at the target while balancing on the branch of a tall tree – which shows that this Ramayana is going to be a visual treat.
With this scene, the film makers have given the message that the film will have a unique amalgamation of action and spirituality.
Yash becomes Ravan: Virat Roop will scare you
On the other hand, KGF fame Yash was seen in a completely different avatar in the role of Ravan. Long dreadlocks, heavy armor, black eyes and stunning face – seeing Yash’s look, fans said “This Ravan is not ordinary”. The film is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who has previously given hits like Dangal and Chhichhore. Ramayan is being made as a trilogy (three-part film) and its budget is said to be more than ₹ 600 crores.
Nitesh Tiwari said with the first look release –
“We want to present Ramayan not as a religious story, but as an emotional, social and visual experience. Every character is being given depth.”
Sai Pallavi in the role of Sita
South actress Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Sita Mata in the film. Even though her first look has not been revealed yet, according to sources, her character will be a symbol of purity, patience and courage. Looking at Sai Pallavi’s simplicity and acting ability, the audience is expecting a lot from this role.
Magic of VFX and sets
The film ‘Ramayana’ is being described as India’s biggest VFX driven film till date.
The jungle, Lanka city, sea bridge, and war scenes are being prepared completely with a mixture of CGI and real sets.
The film will also be released in 3D and IMAX formats, so that the audience can get the full experience of the grandeur of Ramayana in theaters.

The release date of the film ‘Ramayana’ has been set as Diwali 2026. The makers are preparing to release it not only in India but also in more than 150 countries around the world. Apart from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, this film will also be dubbed in English.
